Why do we put things off? We have all heard the advice to put first things first and early bird gets the worm. Then if we have this great advice why do we still have problems getting our most vexing tasks done? I think that one of the main reasons we do this is because we associate pain with getting the vexing tasks done. We tend to make the task harder than it is. We personalize this and ask ourselves “why me”.
We should turn our attention to researching the various ways that things can be accomplished. Very often that when this research is applied, the tasks fails to have the power over us that we give it. Do yourself a favor and try not to associate pain or pleasure to any task. Look at the items to be done academically and write out the problem on paper. That simple act alone no puts you in the position of defining the problem.

Great post Elan!
Procrastination is a often a very prominent part of why people do not get more done and coaching is a great way to help people overcome procrastination.
There is just something about telling your goals and dreams to another human being and then having that person hold you accountable for accomplishing them that helps you get more done.
Thanks for bringing this topic forward and best of luck with your practice!
Cheers
